We are excited about opening the first
chapter in Tennessee on October 11th, 2008. The
Knoxville chapter will be led by "Go-Rilla" who is a
Knoxville Detective. Defenders from every chapter
will converge on Tenn. and participate in the opening
ceremonies at 1 pm. We will have a DMC ride through the
Tennessee Mts. prior to the home cookin prepared by the
Knoxville Ladies.
The Smokey Mountain chapter will have opening
ceremonies on October 25th 2008 in Maggie Valley, North
Carolina. The president of the chapter is none other
than “OPIE” and the VP will be “Big Dog”. We
attempted to get this opening on the same weekend as
Knoxville, but it did not work.
We are planning on having some good rides while in the
NC mountains (Deals Gap etc…) Opie and Big Dog have been
working hard on setting up this event which will include
welcoming us to their homes with home cooking. You
can’t beat two trips to the mountains during the
changing of the leaves in the same month. One of
our rides will take us on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
If you have never been there you are in for a beautiful
ride.
Big Dog has posted this opening in the Born to Ride
magazine and they are very excited about our first NC
chapter.

Naples Chapter Defenders
include Backdraft & Disney, Mojo & Cha-Ching, Silky &
Stitch and Caretaker & Sassy. It was a 3 day trip and
all had a great time.
